Celebrating Freedom

My favorite blog challenge was Day 5 Setting yourself up for success. I believe by setting a little time and gradually making more time will set me up to be successful. It will help me to stay on track with my goals, instead of making an excuse to not completing what I started.

The key takeaway from this challenge was me writing everyday. It has been fun, have a long way to go, but I started and will make sure that I write everyday. Haven’t decided what my topic will be. So let this new start continue on……

The perfect balance for working and vacation for me is simply. Get up early to enjoy the beautiful view in Paris while having breakfast from my balcony.

My plan will be to work part-time durning the morning hours with my work duties. And take the rest of the days to enjoy Paris like I should.

I will be able to enjoy the scenery, go to museums, art shows, have some cheese and wine, try different foods, meet new people and try something new. Just experience the whole of Paris.

My Adventure

My adventure for today’s challenge was seeing this beautiful view while working. Its a relaxing and beautiful escape which I enjoy when I am working at this location. Which is Governor’s Island. It makes you appreciate the beauty of life. Looks even better when it is night time.

Imperfect Action

I can name a lot of my daily imperfect actions and go on and on. So I will choose one. I would like to do more writing. Since this challenge I’ve been writing more and thats a good sign. I will keep on doing, so I can build up my writing skills and let my creativity flow more freely.

With doing more writing in the next 30 days will become a habit then it’s like finally I kept up to what I said I was going to do. And didn’t make an excuse every time it came time for me to write. Yay!!!!!!!!!

Thelma Schoonmaker is a film editor. She edited two of my favorite movies of all time. Casino and Goodfellas.

Being a woman in what’s called a man’s world. And able to do what she does is a blessing. I love her character and the way she attack the challenges ahead of her to reach her goals.

This is one of her sayings:

I’m not a person who believes in the great difference between women and men as editors. But I do think that quality is key. We’re very good at organizing and discipline and patience, and patience is 50 per cent of editing. You have to keep banging away at something until you get it to work. I think women are maybe better at that.
